In my community, there is a lack of awareness when it comes to health. People are too scared to ask about their health, or they are just not aware of what’s going on, or they just don’t care about their health. That is the reason why I wanted to be a CHW.  I wanted to help and be involved in making a difference in the community.  Helping others means that you care about what goes on in and around your community and try to make it a better and healthier environment.  I am really proud of myself for actually becoming a certified CHW.  It’s a new chapter in my life and I’m really excited for what’s in my future as a CHW.
